| Vancouver Island is on the west coast of Canada, northwest of the United States.

Port Alberni is centrally located, on good highway access from the east
coast cities of Victoria and Nanaimo. Port Alberni is at the head of the
long Alberni inlet, with access by road or water to Bamfield. Both Port Alberni and Bamfield have airport facilities (but no regularly scheduled flights) for charter fliers. | |
